<p>#CMT# #/CMT# Cosmetic use of a vitamin K (I) or its derivatives or precursors or an extract that containing (I) in a composition (A) as an agent to improve and/or repair the barrier function of skin or semi-mucous membranes. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a cosmetic process to improve comfort of the skin, scalp or semi-mucous membranes or to fight against the appearance of microscopic cracks or of microchaps comprising administration and/or application of (A) to the skin, scalp or mucous membranes. #CMT#ACTIVITY : #/CMT# Dermatological. #CMT#MECHANISM OF ACTION : #/CMT# Transglutaminase K activator. The ability of (I) to activate transglutaminase K was tested. The results showed that the percentage activation of transglutaminase K by (I) at 10-7> M was 95%. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful to improve and/or repair the barrier function of skin or semimucouses and to reinforce the resistance of skin or semi-mucous membranes for external aggressions.
