<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content recording and reproducing system by which content is easily managed. <P>SOLUTION: In a recording and reproducing device 200 of the content recording reproduction system 100, user information corresponding to a use selection button is recognized as present user information by a user recognition means, the received content data or video recording content data of which the video recording is reserved by the present user information and the recognized present user information are associated with each other.
