<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular engine control system capable of further reliably preventing the occurrence of a situation in which an engine cannot be re-started. <P>SOLUTION: Even when the stop of a vehicular engine is instructed by a driver, the intercommunication is performed between a vehicle side unit and a portable unit 1. A collation ECU 4 of the vehicle side unit permits the stop of the vehicle engine when the collation result of an ID code acquired by the intercommunication is OK, and prohibits the stop of the vehicle engine when the collation result is NG. When the portable machine 1 is brought out by another occupant, the engine cannot be re-started if the engine is once stopped. As described above, if the stop of the engine is prohibited when the collation of the ID code is NG, occurrence of a situation in which the engine cannot be re-started can be prevented in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
