<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line head and an image forming apparatus in which high intensity of light is ensured without employing a large optical element such as a unit system image formation lens and sufficient exposure precision can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The line head arranged with a plurality of EL elements and exposing a rotatable photosensitive drum by irradiating it with light from the plurality of EL elements comprises an element substrate 301 where the plurality of EL elements 3 are arranged on one surface of a supporting substrate 300 and light is emitted from the EL elements 3 to the other surface of the supporting substrate 300, a fiber array substrate 2 arranged oppositely to the surface of the element substrate 301 arranged with the EL elements 3, and a plurality of microlenses 200 arranged on the surface of the fiber array substrate 2 opposite to the surface opposing the EL elements 3 wherein one and one correspondence exists between the plurality of EL elements 3 and the plurality of microlenses 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
