<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform performance display which does not reduce a desire to play. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine comprises: a pattern CPU 311 for storing sprite data required for the display of the scene in character RAM memories 321 and 322 and making the stored sprite data required for the display of the scene be read; a video display processor 330 for reading the sprite data from the character RAMs 321 and 322 and making video images be displayed by the respective scenes including sprites based on the read sprite data; and a VRAM 336 for temporarily storing plotting data generated on the basis of the sprite data.
