PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a snow ice block capable of obtaining large snow ice block without needing large-scale equipment. SOLUTION: Water 4 or snow and water are charged into a mould 2 made of steel plate and mounted on a mounting table 1 opened at its lower portion, and cold air W is sent to the lower portion of the mounting table 1 by a blow-off frame 3. The water 4 or snow and water in the mould 2 starts freezing from a peripheral portion kept into contact with the mould 2 by cold heat from low-temperature outside air, and further freezing is accelerated from a bottom portion of the mould 2 as the cold air W is introduced to the lower portion of the mounting table 1 from the blow-off frame 3, thus the snow ice block of about 1000kg weight can be efficiently manufactured.
