PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an on-vehicle information apparatus having operational convenience when replacing an information storage medium such as a disk, and high safety which does not divert driver's attention. SOLUTION: When a display panel 2 is set to the closed state, a control part 7 sets this display panel 2 to the open state by an open/close means 3 based on the operational information of predetermined open state setting from an open/close switch 4a in a push switch 4, and when the display panel 2 is set to the open state, these operational information are interpreted as operational information to set these operational information to the close state irrespective of any operational information from the push switch 4 including the open/close switch 4a, a touch panel 5, or a touch sensor 6, and the display panel 2 is set to the close state based on this operational information.
