PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that can be finely dispersed in a thermosetting resin constituting a matrix resin such as an epoxy resin or a polyimide resin to raise the glass transition temperature of the thermosetting resin and can perform functions of relaxing internal stresses and external stresses in the temperature range below the glass transition temperature without exerting influences on the thermosetting resin. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises a polyrotaxane and the thermosetting resin. Preferably, the thermosetting resin in the resin composition is an epoxy resin or a polyimide.
