An apparatus for opening and closing a door of a refrigerator is provided to reduce the noise and smooth the operation of the door according to the formation of the damping device absorbing the impact. An apparatus for opening and closing a door of a refrigerator comprises plural doors(35L,35R) opening and closing the body of the refrigerator; a hinge device(45) rotating the door for the body of the refrigerator, moving the rotation center, and connecting the door and the body; a door separation device(60) mounted between the door and the body and mutually contacted to separate the interval between the plural doors when the door is opened and closed; and a damping device(70) supported at the body and connected to the hinge device to reduce the impact generated when the door is opened and closed. The hinge device contains a hinge link(47) whose ends are rotatably connected to the body and the door and an elastic member(49) supplying the elastic force to the hinge link.
