<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce multi-value data correctly by detecting an error of signal level and peak deviation between reproducing signal waveform and ideal signal waveform and correcting them. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 5 irradiates an optical disk with a laser beam of recording pulse waveform generated on a recording signal synchronized with a cell clock cycle; forms a recording mark group in an optical disk; obtains a reproducing signal waveform by reading the recording mark group; performs sampling of the reproducing signal waveform at a cycle shorter than the cell clock cycle; and determines the pulse width of the laser beam of recording pulse waveform and correction amount of irradiation timing of the laser beam by evaluating an error of signal level and an error of peak position between a sample point of a reproducing signal waveform and ideal signal waveform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
