PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a diaphragm having high stiffness and high thermal resistance or the like and used for a speaker device. SOLUTION: The diaphragm used for a speaker device is molded (manufactured) by a base material preparation process and a molding process as a process subsequent to the base material preparation process. At first, a base material composed of a sheet-like resin foam member (for example, a foamed acrylic resin or the like) softened to some extent by preheating is prepared in the base material preparation process. Next, the base material is pressed (clamped) by a die in the molding process. The temperature of the die at that time is set to a high temperature at a level of holding a shape of a diaphragm molding. Concretely, a temperature is higher than a room temperature and≤about 130°C, preferably, a temperature near 130°C. Then, the clamping of the base material by the die is released.
