<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a light sensor by controlling a backlight into an ON state and an OFF state when displaying an image and when performing outputting by the light sensor, in a display device integrated with a touch panel comprising light sensors disposed in a matrix. <P>SOLUTION: The display device integrated with the touch panel comprises display pixels 45 to 53 and light sensor pars 54 to 62 disposed in the matrix, wherein a backlight controlling part 63 controls and drives a backlight 65 into an ON state in a data display period, and controls the backlight into an OFF state in a detecting period by the sensor other than the data display period. This reduces influences of light from the backlight on detecting shadow of a touched portion and improves detection accuracy of the light sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
