A research system, a research program, and a research method are provided to enable a researcher to realize research of high response efficiency by using a portable interface terminal while offering no economical or time burden to respondents. The portable information terminal(3) is equipped with direction keys(301) for moving a cursor and selecting data with key manipulation. A research application stores questionnaire data for the research, response data matched with a part of the direction keys or each direction keys of the portable information terminal, and stores the questionnaire data and the response data. A data server transmits the research application to the portable information terminal. The research application includes a response determining module for determining the response selected by moving the cursor with the direction key as the response for the questionnaire.
