<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of ensuring high vehicle stability on a low μ road without impairing steering feeling. <P>SOLUTION: PPSECU performs control such that assistance force generated from a power steering device is strengthened at over-steer and the generated assistance force is weakened at under-steer.
