PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photo studio device where a photograph is taken, in a free atmosphere without restricting subject, and where a desired illumination effect is obtained. SOLUTION: The photo studio device 1 is constituted of photographing space surrounding a subject at least by a right sidewall, a left sidewall, a rear wall and a front wall having an opening part for an entrance, and at least five light sources for illumination (for example, straight-tube fluorescent lamps) having linear shape are arranged per each wall surface on the right sidewall, the left sidewall and the front wall. A light source diffusion part for diffusing light from the light source for illumination is arranged so as to cover over each of the light sources for illumination on the right sidewall, the left sidewall and the front wall. The light emission state of the light source for illumination, arranged on each wall surface, is monitored by a light source monitoring part 23. When it is decided that the light emission state of any one of the plurality of light sources for illumination is unstable, feeding power to the light source for illumination whose light-emitting state is unstable is interrupted by a feed control part 25.
