PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for collecting corneocytes, without impairing the volume shapes for correctly identifying skin conditions. SOLUTION: A water-soluble fixing agent, such as a vinyl pyrrolidone-vinyl acetate copolymer, is applied onto a support to form a corneocyte collection implement. Its surface, to which the water-soluble fixing agent is applied, is wetted and made swollen with an aqueous carrier for wetting, pasted to a corneocyte collection part, dried, solidified, and peeled off. Then the fixing agent is dissolved by an aqueous carrier for dispersion containing a surface-active agent or protease to disperse corneocytes fixed to the fixing agent into the aqueous carrier by a dispersing means.
