PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction agitation welding device which is miniaturized, and capable of simplifying a configuration thereof, and increasing the response speed. SOLUTION: The friction agitation welding device 10 has a first motor 26 to rotate a friction agitation welding tool 16 and a second motor 28 to turn a ball screw 20. When the second motor 28 is energized, a nut 72 is lowered following the rotation of the ball screw 20, a displacement unit 58 is lowered according thereto, and the friction agitation welding tool 16 is lowered along a linear guide 44 together with a casing 18.
