A method of setting current time information of a digital television is provided to automatically set current time information when a decoder is reset in the digital television. A method of setting current time information of a digital television includes a step of storing the current time in an EEPROM(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) when time information is updated by an STT(System Time Table) of PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol) or time information is forcibly set by a user, a step of transmitting the current time information to a microcomputer such that the microcomputer counts time(S24,S26), and a step of determining whether a decoder is reset, summing up the time counted by the microcomputer and the time stored in the EEPROM and setting the result as the current time if the decoder is reset.
