A centrifugal wet type of air cleaner for highly and efficiently cleaning air containing bacteria, dust, fine particles and other contaminants based on the principle of a fluid flow that generates centrifugal force using a centrifugal impeller rotated at a high speed by an electric motor is provided. A centrifugal wet type of air cleaner comprises: a gas passage cylinder(813) installed within a body(807) to longitudinally maintain centrifugal force in wet air along a predetermined distance; an annular vortex chamber(904) formed between an inner wall of a housing(809) and the gas passage cylinder within the body; a cleaning water tank installed below the body to supply cleaning water; and a cleaning water tank(801) on which gas suction holes(805) and a passage are formed to collect contaminants contained in air using cleaning water, flow in contaminants contained in air through the gas suction holes and purify air by centrifugal separation using a specific gravity difference between air and cleaning water.
