A lens power measuring system (100) has a light source (102) and a fiber-optic light delivery system (104) optically coupled to th light source (102) to receive illumination light from the light source (102). The fiber-optic light delivery system (104) has a transmit receive end. The lens power measurement system (100) also has a microscope objective (106) optically coupled to the fiber-optic lig delivery system (104) through the transmit receive end of the fiber-optic light delivery system (108), a movable mirror (108) arrang to intercept at least a portion of light after having passed through the microscope objective (106), and an optical detection system (110) optically coupled to the fiber-optic light delivery system (104) to receive light after having been reflected from said movable mirror (108). The optical detection system (110) is constructed to be able to determine a substantially maximum signal of light reflected from the movable mirror (108) in correspondence with a relative position of the movable mirror (108) to a lens (128) to be measured. Methods of measurement include methods using such a lens system. |
