The invention relates to a flat woven textile structure for use as airbag fabric which is characterized by cross weaves, and to a mesh fabric which consists of stationary warp threads (21) and regular weft threads (23) and which is not undulated. The cross weaves are carried out in such a manner th at the right-hand threads (22) have a lower titer than the stationary warp threads (21) and the regular weft threads (23), and that the stationary warp threads (21) and regular weft threads (23) are held and linked one on top of the other in a nonslip manner.
