Human kinase interacting protein 2 (KIP2)-related gene variant (KIP2V1) associated with prostate cancer

Nucleic acid and polypeptide sequences of one novel human KIP2-related gene variant (KIP2V1), and the processes for producing the same are provided. Use of the nucleic acid and polypeptide sequences of the gene variant in diagnosing diseases associated with the presence of KIP2V1, in particular prostate cancer, is also provided.
