A method and an apparatus for preventing the mouth of a river from being stopped up are provided to minimize various problems caused by the clogged mouth of a river, submersion of farm lands and low lands caused by the increase in water level, odor generation and environmental pollution caused by stagnation of river sewage, the waste of enormous expenses and transformation of coastal features caused by installation of a concrete structure, to remove the stagnant soil in a perforated pipe by forming a perforated pipe in a double structure having an inner perforated pipe and to prevent the re-inflow of seawater into a river through a perforated pipe by installing a damper having a backflow preventing function to an outlet of a perforated pipe. An apparatus for preventing the mouth of a river is completed by installing a perforated pipe(10) in the section of soil deposits(4) slantingly and forming a flow channel(5) by making soils carried away or eroded by river water in the perforated pipe, connecting the perforated pipe to a pile(20) strongly by a pipe fixture. Hereon the perforated pipe is formed to have a rectangular cross-sectional structure and composed of a rectangular pipe(12) having many drain holes(11) to drain off river water flowing in the perforated pipe bidirectionally, an inner perforated pipe to remove the soil deposits in the perforated pipe by carrying away and eroding soil deposits flew in the perforated pipe by river water, and a damper installed on the outlet of the perforated pipe facing the sea to open the outlet of the perforated pipe by river water flowing down through the perforated pipe and to close the outlet of the perforated pipe if seawater flows in the opposite direction or the perforated pipe is not be pressed by external force. |
