A dust collecting assembly of a vacuum cleaner is provided to remove and sterilize dust and foreign matters by radiating negative ion from a negative ion generator, and to transmit outer electric power source easily by inserting a power terminal to a terminal insertion groove of a body. A dust collecting assembly(100) includes a dust collecting bin(110) filtering and collecting foreign matters from air, a filter assembly(150) installed in the dust collecting bin to filtrate foreign matters from air, and a negative ion generator formed at a side of the dust collecting bin to generate and inject negative ion. The negative ion generator is installed in a rear part of the dust collecting bin, and composed of a negative ion generating unit(162) generating negative ion and a discharge needle(164) injecting negative ion from the negative ion generating unit.
