Cooling ventilator comprises a bucket wheel (12) consisting of a hub (121) and blades (122) which are partially covered, a frame (11) forming an air channel (111) having a diameter larger than the diameter of the bucket wheel and a shoulder (13) extending from the inner side of the frame into the air channel. A light screening effect is achieved by the blades of the bucket wheel. An independent claim is also included for a projection system containing the above cooling ventilator. Preferred Features: The width of the shoulder is the same as the distance between the frame and shoulder. A hub seat is arranged in the air channel and the bucket wheel rotates on the hub seat.
