<p>The present invention relates to an exhaust brake which comprises a damper (2, 2') arranged close to a curved portion (Ia) of an exhaust line (1). The damper (2, 2') can be put into an open position in which the exhaust gases in the exhaust line flow past the damper (2, 2'), and into a closed position in which the exhaust gases in the exhaust line are prevented from flowing past the damper (2, 2'). The exhaust brake comprises a guide element (2, 2', 6) for guiding the exhaust gases in the exhaust line (1) close to the curved portion (Ia). The guide element (2, 2', 6) comprises at least one curved section (2, 6) arranged in the curved portion (Ia), and the damper (2, 2') is adapted to constituting at least part of the guide element (2, 2', 6) when it is in the open position.</p> |
