<p>There is provided a technique for appropriately operating a plurality of databases. A communication control system (100) includes a plurality of communication control devices (10a, 10b, 10c...) for processing a packet and an operation monitoring server (110) for managing operation states of a plurality of communication control devices (10). The plurality of communication control devices (10) hold databases used for packet processing by dividing them into some groups. There is provided a number of communication control devices (10) which is equal to the number required for holding the groups of the databases plus at least one. The operation monitoring server (110) operates the number of communication control devices (10) required for holding the groups of the databases and keeps at least one communication control device (10) in a wait state. When updating a database, the operation monitoring server (110) stores the database held by one of the communication control devices (10) among the communication control devices in operation, in the communication control device (10) in the wait state and then switches the operation from the communication control device (10) holding the database before the updating to the communication control device (10) holding the database after the updating.</p> |
