TERMINAL STRIP FORMING APPARATUS

An apparatus for forming a terminal strip is provided to adjust the moving direction of materials for the terminal strip in spite of bending of a carrier by moving die fixing plates and punch fixing plates by the shortened distances in a direction opposite to a supply direction of the terminal strip to form bending portions in lower and upper holders. A first die fixing plate(12) is movable in a direction opposite to a supply direction of a terminal strip on a slide guide plate of a lower holder(10), wherein the first die fixing plate(12) has a first bend die(16). A first punch fixing plate(116) is installed on a slide guide plate of an upper holder. The first punch fixing plate(16) has a first bend punch(108), which forms a first bend portion in the terminal strip together with the first bend die. The first punch fixing plate(116) moves at a shortened distance of the terminal strip due to formation of the first bend portion. A third die fixing plate(40) is movable in the same direction of the first die fixing plate on the slide guide plate of the lower holder(10), wherein the third die fixing plate(40) has a second bend die. A third punch fixing plate(134) has a second bend punch(136), which forms a second bend portion in the terminal strip together with the second bend die. The third punch fixing plate(134) moves at a shortened distance of the terminal strip due to formation of the first and second bend portions.
