A headlight having a vertically polarized light filter is provided to minimize the light reflected towards a driver of an opposite vehicle by filtering light of a headlight lamp which is reflected from water on the ground. A headlight includes a headlight frame(140), a headlight lamp(110), a front headlight cover(120), a vertically polarized light filter(130) mounted between the headlight lamp and the front headlight cover for vertically polarizing light of the headlight lamp to shield a component of the vertically polarized light, and a filter fixing member engaging the vertically polarized light filter to an inner periphery of the headlight lamp so that the vertically polarized light filter is positioned perpendicular to a ground.
