There is provided, at a low cost, a small-size and lightweight scroll compressor capable of preventing a decrease in compression efficiency by utilizing a medium pressure between a suction pressure and a discharge pressure as a back pressure. An independent minute gap in the axial direction is provided between a main frame 3 and a thrust ring 8 . This minute gap is used as a second back pressure chamber C 2 , and the medium pressure between the suction pressure and the discharge pressure is introduced into the second back pressure chamber C 2.
