A digital broadcasting program specified by a viewer is quickly selected. A tuner section A (102) acquires a stream included in a first channel as a first stream from a digital broadcasting signal. A tuner section B (115) acquires a stream included in a second channel adjacent to the first channel as a second stream from the digital broadcasting signal. A stream selecting section (119), a decoder section A (104) and a decoder section B (120) decode adjacent two streams from the first stream and the second stream. A program selecting section (121) selects either of the two streams as a current program.
