The floor structure has two longitudinal sills (1, 2) and a centre support (8). Two cross supports (10,11) extend from the centre support to the sills and at least one side (10a,10b) of each support runs along an incline (14) opposite the cross direction (12) which is at right angles to the longitudinal direction (7). The cross supports have a wedged or trapezoidal shape in plan view and can be made of steel, aluminium or magnesium. The cross supports can be made from reinforced fibre plastics.
