A thigh part mounting device (3) for fixing the end parts of an assist force transmission arm (5) extended from the drive shaft of a power generating device (actuator (4)) to a thigh part (T) in a walking assisting device (1) installed on the waist part of a user to impart an assist force to the thigh part for the motion of the lower limb of the user. An air pad (27) having a bag body filled with air is interposed at a contact part between the thigh part mounting device and the thigh part (T). Accordingly, the air pad (27) can be easily and largely displaced also according to the deformation of the outer surface of the thigh part (T) by the air spring action of the air pad (27), for example, when the user takes a squat position. Also, if air can be properly charged into and discharged from the air pad, the higher mountability of the walking assisting device can be easily maintained.
