A sealing portion including a spacer is formed around each one of device substrates formed in a glass wafer. The line width of each sealing portion is measured by a line width measuring unit. A droplet discharging unit discharges adequate amounts of liquid crystal droplets according to the measured line widths into respective liquid crystal enclosing portions surrounded by the sealing portions. Consequently, the distance between each device substrate and a color filter can be uniform.
