<p>A wing-like needle assembly, where a spring is used to automatically make a needle hub slide to the base end side, causing a needle tube to be received in a protector, where the protector can be designed to have a reduced diameter, and whose operability is improved. The wing-like needle assembly has a needle tube (1), a needle hub (2), a substantially tubular protector (3) fitted over the needle hub (2), and a pair of wings (5) fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the protector (3). The needle hub (4) is slidable by elastic force of a spring (4) from a first position where a forward end of the needle tube (1) is projected from the forward end side of the protector (3) to a second position where the needle tube (1) is received inside the protector (3). The spring (4) is placed around the outer periphery of the needle hub (2) and is axially fixed between a base end of the protector (3) and a base end of the needle hub (2). The wing-like needle assembly also has a first engagement means for releasably engaging the needle hub (2) to the first position and a second engagement means for unreleseably engaging the needle hub (2) to the second position.</p> |
