The two data capture means (S1,S2,S3) communicate operating parameter values (PU, PvDK, PS) of the same kind and inside a sequential operating path (W) to at least two different system spots (W1,W2, W3) on the operating path. Said communication of parameter values happens at a moment when the different system spots are in the same system state, and the same operating parameter values have to be communicated via the operating parameters - data capture means. The operating parameter values are compared with each other. Depending on the results of this comparison, a faulty or fault-free operating parameter value is arrived at.
