A strain detector that has a reduced number of installation parts, that has high work efficiency, and that is easy to use. The strain detector has a cylindrical strain generator (2) generating strain upon receiving a load, a resistor element (7) provided on the outer circumferential surface of the strain generator (2) and whose resistance varies depending on the amount of strain, a signal processing circuit (11) connected with the resistor element (7), and threaded portions (4) arranged above and below the strain generator (2) to keep the strain generator (2) between them. The strain generator (2) and the threaded portions (4) are integrated.
