The invention relates to a method for electrochemically detecting at least one neutral molecule, characterized by providing at least one conductive organic copolymer of general formula (I): in which M represents a metal atom; R<SUP>1</SUP>, R<SUP>2</SUP>, R<SUP>3</SUP> et R<SUP>4</SUP> representing, independent of one another, a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylthio and cycloalkylthio group; R<SUP>5</SUP> represents an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkylthio, cycloalkylthio and arylthio group, and; R<SUP>6</SUP> represents a substituted or non-substituted halogen atom or an alkyl alkynyl, aryl alkynyl, alkylthio and arylthio group.
