<p>A flat transmission belt where occurrence of cracks in the surface of the belt is suppressed to extend the life of cover rubber layers and, in turn, to extend the life of the entire belt. The flat transmission belt has a first cover rubber layer and a second cover rubber layer formed on the surface on the opposite side of the first cover rubber layer, and is used by being passed over a drive pulley and a driven pulley. The first cover rubber layer and the second cover rubber layer are formed from rubber materials of the same kind but having different blending. The elongation ratio of the first cover rubber layer that is in contact with less number of drive pulleys and driven pulleys is set higher than the elongation ratio of the second cover rubber layer that is in contact with more number of drive pulleys and driven pulleys.</p> |
