SAFE CONTROL METHOD WHEN DETECTING THE ACCESS TO STORAGE MEDIA

A method for safely controlling access to a storage medium is provided to fundamentally prevent security infringement accidents owing to the access of internal virus and the illegal access of remote control by performing an authentication process for checking user access permission with a button, a relay, and a switch physically connected to a computer. An I/O(Input/Output) communication driver detects an access operation when a CPU of a PC performs the access operation to the storage medium. The I/O communication driver informs an access permission authentication display part of access information and waits to perform the authentication function. The access permission authentication display part displays an access request to a user through a GUI(Graphic User Interface) to receive authentication for permitting the access request to the storage area from the I/O communication driver. A storage device controller permits unit access for each file task accessed through the I/O communication driver. The storage device controller selectively permits the access according to an authentication request of the GUI by using a unit access command permission button of the storage device controller.
