A method for forming a multilayer film, a multilayer film, an electro-optic device, and an electronic apparatus are provided to improve tightness and contact property among functional material layers, by increasing a contact area of the functional material layers. In a method for forming a multilayer film, the multilayer film comprises at least two kinds of functional materials and is formed on a substrate(2). A bottom layer discharge process is for arranging a first functional liquid(61) including a first functional material(52) on the substrate by using an ink jet method. A bottom layer hardening process is for forming a solid layer(63) including the first functional material by hardening the first functional liquid on the substrate. A liquid layer forming process is for forming a liquid layer including the first functional material on the solid layer. A top layer discharge process is for arranging a second functional liquid(62) including a second functional material(51) on the solid layer and the liquid layer by using an ink jet method. A top layer hardening process is for hardening the liquid layer and the second functional liquid.
