Mechanically decontaminating surfaces made of mineral materials, especially concrete surfaces and walls, comprises hammering the surface using an apparatus comprising a number of compressed air driven hammer tools. The air is released to the surroundings, and the room in which the tools operate is air tight. Particles are sucked out of the room, and the volume of air drawn off is greater than that used to drive the tools. |
