A method for cleaning a surface

A method for cleaning a surface is characterised by distributing hot air from a cleaning apparatus and a cleaning solution over a surface to be cleaned, and then recovering the solution and any dirt entrained therein, using the cleaning apparatus. The cleaning solution is preferably distributed from the cleaning apparatus before hot air is distributed from the cleaning apparatus. The cleaning solution may also be scrubbed on the surface to be cleaned.
