Spherical and calibrated oil particles, comprises a hydrophobic solar filter and oil phase formed by a gelling polymer, where the oil particles have an average size of =20 mu m, circularity index of 0.9-1, and the oil phase has a melting point of >=40[deg]C. Independent claims are included for: (1) an aqueous and/or water-soluble phase dispersion comprising oil particles; (2) a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising the particles and/or a dispersion; and (3) a process of manufacturing the oil particle.
