PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for electrophotography which establish a toner recycle system by using an a-Si photosensitive body and injection electrostatic charging. SOLUTION: The method and device for electrophotography are equipped with an electrostatic charging means having an image carrier which is constituted by laminating an a-Si photoconductive layer and an a-C surface layer containing at least silicon atoms on a conductive base and characterized by that the silicon atom content rate of the surface layer is 0.2 to 20 atom.% magnetic toner which has toner particle containing at least binding resin and magnetic bodies and inorganic powder and whose means circularity is >=0.950 and whose saturated magnetism under 79.6 kA/m is 10 to 50 Am<2> /kg, electrostatically charged particles made principally of conductive particles having 0.1 to 10 μm particle size, and a conductive and elastic surface and carries the electrostatically charge particles and are characterized by that the electrostatically charged particles come into contact with the image carrier to charge it to the negative polarity, an electrostatic latent image is formed by an IAE system, and there is not cleaning process between transfer and the electrostatic charging. |
