Improvements relating to the drying of bird manure

In the preparation of a fertilizer bird manure is intimately mixed with 10 to 20 per cent by weight of charcoal or bone carbon before drying at a temperature not exceeding 50 DEG -55 DEG C. the manure being mixed before or after drying with salts such as potassium sulphate, ammonium sulphate, saltpetre, superphosphate or phosphoric acid. The product may be formed into tablets, granules or small blocks.
