A method for display a menu wall paper in a mobile communication terminal is provided to supply the menu wall paper, provided in a menu selecting mode, after zooming in or zooming out the menu wall paper, thereby dynamically providing the menu wall paper. A method for display a menu wall paper in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: displaying a partial area of a background image, corresponding to an arbitrary selection area, as a wall paper if a menu selecting mode is set(101); detecting the first selection area which has magnification, higher than magnification set at the arbitrary selection area, and is positioned in location nearest to the arbitrary selection area, and magnifying a partial area of the wall paper corresponding to the first selection area before displaying the magnified area if a wall paper zoom-in key is inputted(107,109,111); and detecting the second selection area which has magnification, lower than the magnification set at the arbitrary selection area as much as one step, and is positioned in the location nearest to the arbitrary selection area, and magnifying a partial area of the wall paper corresponding to the second selection area before displaying the magnified area if a wall paper zoom-out key is inputted(107,109,111).
