<p>A satellite based position system position determination procedure transmits (2) multiple carrier frequencies (4, 5, 8) and derives pseudo sections (5a) and phase sections (4b, 5b) from the received (1) signals so that a smoothed pseudo section making a linear combination (6) of the phase sections gives a positive indication of ionospheric influences.
