A method for setting environment by using a multimedia message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to set different contents of a received multimedia message as a theme, and set environment by making the different contents one-to-one mapped on environment setting elements, and automatically change the environment of the mobile communication terminal in a lump, thereby improving the convenience of a user. A method for setting environment by using a multimedia message in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: displaying a received multimedia message(201); composing contents as a theme by extracting the contents from the received multimedia message(203); setting environment by making each content of the theme one-to-one mapped on each environment setting element(205); and collectively and automatically changing the environment of the mobile communication terminal according to the environment setting(207).
