Non-destructive analysis system for wooden objects

Non-destructive wooden object analyses system comprising a user portable apparatus, which apparatus comprises:
- a housing having an active side,
- an impulse generator, which is mounted in the housing and which is adapted to transfer a single calibrated impulse to the wooden object when the user holds the housing with its active side against the wooden object to be analysed,
- a sensor, which is mounted in the housing and which is adapted to sense a reflection of an impulse transmitted to the object and for providing a sensor signal. The system further includes signal processing means for processing the processing signal to one or more analyses results and display means for displaying the one or more analysis results in such a manner that reliable, robust and reproducible analysis results are obtained which can be used in a controlled production quality control system.
